When People Annoy The Shit Out of You
People - They can be the bane of your life or they can be a great asset to you. In reality there is no way to escape people so why bother trying? People make life interesting, people can add so much to your life, whether they are friends, family, acquaintances or even enemies. People make the world go round.
A few things to consider.
First and foremost - You will always need people!
Did you ever doubt it though really? There are times when it would easier to slither under a rock and hide away especially if you have been hurt by various people. However, these things are sent to test us and we must remain strong despite the annoying people we may sometimes come across. The truth is we may well be an annoying person to someone else! (You?!!! Never!!!)
Or maybe you consider yourself a lone wolf. You enjoy keeping yourself company and are pretty happy going solo. That's is all well and good but still, there are times when you need people just to do the normal things of life like buy groceries, work colleagues, family engagements etc. Learning how to work with people is a very useful skill to smooth your path through life.
I must admit there are times when I would rather be on my own especially now with young children, it sometimes feels like you have no time to think. So I do understand why some would rather stay alone. However, it is not a successful strategy really for the long term unless all you want to do is hide away forever. For people who strive towards success, there is no choice but to learn how to work effectively with others.
Everyone has something to give to you.
The question is whether you have the sense to receive it. Even the most irritating person can teach you patience if you would but calm your emotions down enough to learn it.
There are treasures in everyone; everyone has a different life experience to you. There is so much to learn from the people around you.
The other side of this is that you have a wealth of experience for other people as well, so be willing to give of yourself and your experience and information wherever and whenever you can.
Each person has different gifts.
Maybe you are useless at organisation, someone you know may well be amazing at it. Are you useless at writing but want to compile a book then someone you know may well be amazing at collating facts into a readable form.
Open your eyes and look around. Success is not a solo sport; it consists of teams of people working together to a major goal.
Find the people to work with who will complement you and work consistently to your dreams.
