Some people, who will read parts of this post, will think it "un"spiritual and not coming from a heart-centered space. The rest will not. This post is for you.

I looked up to you. I saw you as my protector, and too many times, I watched you fail me in this capacity.

I wrote this letter in April 2009. I had it all ready in its envelope, and the only thing missing was your address.  When I called, something changed.

The following is a story I have not shared with many people. However, by finally sharing it, I am releasing the last vestiges of shame, confusion, guilt, and anger that I harbored towards my offender. [Parental guidance is advised.]
