Musings and What-not

A little over 4 months, I took a much-needed respite from everything. I needed to take a hard look on what I had been attached to in my life, and why.

I often see messages about how one can manifest this or that quickly, and my response is always the same... "You're always manifesting, even when it is something you do not desire to experience." [See this post on the 12 Laws of Karma] Is this comment always appreciated? No. However, I feel that there is a lot of truth behind it, which is why I always respond the same. I have lost track of the number of times something manifested in my life that either made my skin crawl, brought me to a ridiculously state of never-ending UFOs ... or thrilled me to pieces. Many of those moments, I did not even think about HOW, or why, those experiences arrived as they did. However, I have come to understand that it is my emotional state that holds the only key on just how powerful of a  creator I am. I realize now that I must pay heed to how I am feeling in any given moment. I must allow whatever is seeking to be expressed to have the space to do so... and be released, so as not to mani...

With every new year, we are offered the gift of being more and contributing more to the people we are called to serve as well as all life on this planet.

In 2010, I had the unique pleasure of hearing the music of my soul for the first. This experience came about at a time in my life when I needed something more than what I was already experiencing.

Last night, I fell asleep feeling anxious. This morning, I awoke with a heavy heart.  Why? I was so excited to share this voting season with my Prince... that I forgot to register to vote. I know... how the fuck could that be possible?

PRINCIPLES OF MANIFESTATION In order to manifest a new idea , we must go beyond the boundaries of everything that we already know exists. The mind of God will allow anything to become instantly manifest in our reality field when we ask to create something that exists outside of the reality field of the world that only exists within our personality.

We live in a world full of "multitaskers". Too often people place texting/eating while driving, Facebooking while watching TV, or texting someone else while in a conversation with another high on their lists of "Favorite Things".

Has anyone ever told you that they could see your aura and knew exactly "what was wrong with you"?

You're probably getting tired of me always plugging Twitter , but I can't help myself!  The place rocks! A couple of weeks ago, one of my Tweeps approached me to review an auditory calming system manufactured by his company, B-CalmSound.com ! I'm all for testing new gadgets, so I said, "Yes!" At first glance, the system just looks like your average mp3 player, but it's the sound tracks that deliver the gifts.

Yesterday, my Twitter friends learned of my decision to donate my tresses to Locks of Love , a public nonprofit that "helps disadvantaged children with medical hair loss." This is a pic of my pony sans product (meaning my hair is chemical-free and store-bought product-free).  No sense being natural if you're going to put crap in your locks, right???. I didn't want to get cold feet, so, ummm, here's a picture of it after I cut it off today. Now, I know some you are out there laughin' at my forehead or fivehead (as it was so graciously referred to during my youth) AND spottin' your britches over my robe! {y'all are so messed up for laughin' at me! :-)} In between gasping for air, please remember that this was all for a worthy cause and my after photo should not be held against me.  {wink} Man!  The stylist is going to be ripped to shreds when I walk in and ask her to "fix" the rest of my head!  I still have almost 8 inches of hair on th...

You have the warriors. And then there's the rest of us. The warriors will, literally, stop at nothing to "fix" their children. While the rest of us don't view our children as being broken and in need of repair. The warriors are very angry and are certain of the "cause" and "cure" for autism. While the rest of us believe, and know, that there's more to learn and discover about the "causes" and that there's definitely not a "cure" for something still considered a mystery. Like the nation, our community is extremely divided, and I do not know how we can come together. The warriors don't  understand those of us who don't subject our children to rather intensive and extensive therapies just so we can have the "perfect" child.
