Yesterday, while futzing about my apartment doing some mundane task, I found myself singing Bette Midler's Wind Beneath My Wings because it was playing in my head.   When s uddenly, it donned on me WHY I was hearing that song.

In 2010, I had the unique pleasure of hearing the music of my soul for the first. This experience came about at a time in my life when I needed something more than what I was already experiencing.

The following switchword phrases will assist you in bringing into your life a deeper sense of peace and more compassion for yourself and for others .  With all that has transpired over the past 18 months ... we could ALL use more peace and compassion!

The Egyptian Pantheon known as Sekhmet has been in my thoughts a lot lately.  I initially thought it was because I was being called to work with her. However, I have since come to realize that She has been presenting herself in order to remind ME of who I am. Sekhmet is a fierce warrior Goddess who doesn't take any shit from anybody. Many fear her. Many want to tame her. And many simply want to be (embody) her. The latter is me. I am being reminded that although things around the world may seem f___ed up right now and bleak that I am the Creator of this experience. I being reminded that nothing can manifest in my reality without my consent. I am reminded that nothing can take my power; that it is I who control where my power goes and how it is to be used. So, whatever is my focus... there my power will be. Sekhmet Speaks I am you In your highest form. Fearless. Divine. Immortal. See yourself From this space. Defeat the battles That rage within you. Last night, I fell asleep feeling anxious. This morning, I awoke with a heavy heart.  Why? I was so excited to share this voting season with my Prince... that I forgot to register to vote. I know... how the fuck could that be possible?

I have often taken this "life" too seriously. Getting too caught up in the illusions of what I believed to be real. So much so that I often lost sight of the glimpses of wonder and amazement that permeated everything I experienced.

Nothing is light. Nothing is dark. Everything is just energy that we direct with our (un)conscious thoughts and actions. To fully step into one\'s greatness, we must be willing to transcend those things that we believe hold power over us and keep us stuck. We must be willing, in every moment, to not only see the Truth... but to also BE it. Again this blog affords me the space to navigate those waters I often deem unworthy of exploring. After all, " everything just is ". May the following "tool" assist you to also better navigate the depths of your psyche and illuminate your Soul's journey.
